DiKTa is known to be the smallest TADF emitter with two carbonyl groups bridging the phenyl rings of a triphenylamine core. The carbonyl bridged triphenyamine is known as quinolino[3,2,1-de]acridine-5,9-dione (QAO). DiKTa is a multiple resonances thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) blue emitter, realized by the opposite resonance effect of the carbonyl and the nitrogen atoms that are close to each other.
DiKTa has high photoluminescence quantum efficiency of 72% and narrow blue emission (λPL = 468 nm). The QAO-based pure blue organic light-emitting diode achieves a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQEmax) of 19.4% with a small full width at half maximum of 39 nm.
DiKTa and its derivative Mes3DiKTa give comparable or even better product yield than 4CzIPN in a range of photocatalytic processes involving energy transfer, reductive and oxidative quenching, and dual photocatalytic processes.
MR-TADF red emitter 3DPA-DiKTa and green emitter 3TPA-DiKTa are also available in sublimed grade.
