TB-P3Cz is a deep-blue MR-TADF emitter with a symmetrical and rigid structure consisting of an oxygen-bridged boron (DOBNA) core as the electron acceptor and a tercarbazole attached to the DOBNA core at the para-position to the central boron atom as the electron donor.
TB-P3Cz exhibits not only thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) but also aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties. OLED based on non-doped TB-P3Cz as the emitter demonstrates a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) and Commission Internationale de l'Éclairage 6.13% and (0.15, 0.08), respectively. The non-doped TB-P3Cz based device also shows ultrahigh color purity, suggesting the great potential of TB-P3Cz as deep-blue luminogens in OLED applications.
TB-P3Cz is solution processable with neat film showing photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 97%.
