Lithium aluminum titanium phosphate (LATP, CAS number: 120479-61-0) is a lithium analog of the sodium super ionic conductor (NASICON) commonly used as a solid-state electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries. LATP is considered an aluminum-doped lithium titanium phosphate (LTP) showing an ionic conductivity 3 to 4 orders of magnitude higher than that of LTP. Being a NASICON-type electrolyte, lithium aluminum titanium phosphate exhibits high ionic conductivity in the range of 10−4 to 10−3 S/cm. LATP also has good chemical stability and high oxidation voltage (ca. 6 V).
LATP can be further functionalized by a coupling agent (such as silanes) to enhance its interaction with polymers for quasi-solid-state electrolytes, achieving an ionic conductivity of 3.01 × 10−3 S/cm.
