DTY6 is another highly efficient non-fullerene acceptor from Y6 family with a highly conjugated and flat [1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-e]thieno[2",3’':4’,5']thieno[2',3':4,5]pyrrolo[3,2-g]thieno[2',3':4,5]thieno[3,2-b]indole core centre.
Bearing two large decylteradecyl alky side chains, DTY6 is developed for large-area organic solar cells. Working together with polymers PBDB-TF-T1 (T1), PTO2, PClTO2. Non-fullerene acceptors DTY6, together with BTP-2F-12, TPT10-C8C12 and BTP-eC9 are considered to be green energy materials for their green solvents processability, i.e. in o-xylene or THF.
Polymer organic solar cells based on PM6:DTY6 processed in non-halogenated solvent o-xylene achieved power conversion efficiency of 16.1% with the following simple structure.
Device structure: indium tin oxide (ITO)/PEDOT:PSS/PM6:DTY6 (1:1.2, w/w, polymer weight concentration of 8 mg/mL)/PFNBr/Ag. [1]
