ARALDITE 506 is a direct replacement for ARALDITE CY212

Araldite 506 is an epoxy resin monomer. It is solvent-free and is modified with a plasticizer. It has an epoxy equivalent weight of 232-250 and yields 3-dimensional crosslinking blocks. This Araldite, is the resin component of a TEM embedding formulation, popular for certain types of samples. An formulation that works is: 10 parts 506, 10 parts DDSA, 0.5 parts DMP-30 and 1 part Dibutyl phthalate.
